TM Robot Machine Tending a Pencil Sharpener

“A good teammate knows what you need and helps out!”

My daughter is an elementary school teacher and she was telling me how much time her students wasted sharpening their pencils each day, so we thought this might help increase productivity in the classroom (just like it helps increase productivity on the factory floor).  In all seriousness, this is a very simplistic demonstration of Omron's TM series collaborative robot conducting a 'Machine Tending' exercise. Machine tending is the automated operation of industrial machine tools in a manufacturing plant using robotic automation systems. Machine tending operations often include:
  • Product loading/unloading
  • Part inspection
  • Blow off
  • Wash off
  • Deburring
  • Sorting
  • Packaging
  • Gauging

If you have an application that requires any of these operations, contact Valin and our technical specialists can program the TM series collaborative robot to handle your application.
