Obsolescence of OS Stepper Motors with 10ft cables

Parker Hannifin, EM&D is discontinuing the sale of the 10-foot cable option for OS stepper motors effective immediately. The flying-lead versions of these motors are not affected and are still available for sale.

Availability
The raw cable used for manufacturing these motors is no longer available. Due to the very low sales of the motors, designing an alternate cable solution is not practical. A last-time buy offer is not possible as all supplies of the cabled versions of the motors have been depleted.

Suggested Replacements
The flying-lead (FLY) versions of the OS motors are still available and are identical in size and performance to the versions with 10-foot cables. In most cases, the flying-lead motors would be the best choice alternative. The LV and HV motors are offered with 10-foot cable options and have shorter lead times than the OS motors.
