Parker December 2018 Discontinuation

EPX2 Obsolescence

Discontinuation Date: December 2018

Parker Electromechanical Automation makes every effort to ensure our products exceed our customers’ expectations. To do so, they occasionally must change/improve some aspect of the product. This technical bulletin describes the obsolescence of the EPX2. This information is provided so that you may take appropriate action with users of the EPX2 product line.

Availability
The IX provides a seamless migration for EPX2 users. The IX is significantly upgraded to meet today’s demanding processing needs and harsh industrial environments. Due to the high adoption rate of the new IXfrom the EPX2, EPX2 sales have significantly declined and its obsolescence is expected to have a negligible overall impact for customers.

Parker will keep enough parts on hand to offer the EPX2 series approximately six months after the issuance of this notice to allow for the migration of affected customers to the IX. Currently the estimated LTB date is March 1st 2019.

It is recommended that LTB orders are placed as soon as possible as remaining units are estimated based upon historical purchase patterns and the LTB date is estimated, not guaranteed.
