Victoria Williams

Victoria Williams is a founding member of the Valin Data Quality team (VDQT), where she began as a contractor. It quickly became clear that she was a valuable resource and joined the Valin Team full time. Victoria is very detail oriented and approaches Valin processes with a critical eye for improvements. She has made many positive enhancements behind the scenes.

Victoria saw a need, cultivated a concept, wrote the code, and ultimately developed a tool used for one of Valin’s primary suppliers. She continues to improve the tool developed for Customer Service personnel during NEW ITEM creation to normalize NEW ITEM item_id and descriptions. The Beta Tool is deployed to the Valin Insider Intranet under the Data Integrity Department Documents in the CSR Tools directory. More tools in the series are being developed. Use of the tool will greatly reduce rework and improve Valin’s dataset providing a consistent customer experience. Other Supplier Tools will be developed on the backbone of this beta tool making NEW ITEM entry easier, consistent, and done right the first time.

Many of the evolutions in Valin’s processes are the direct result of VDQT’s collaboration and input from all levels. The department’s mission evolved from pure dataset improvement to developing Valin standards, the VDQT was asked to take on additional tasks of CRM Lead Entry and pricing updates. Victoria unflinchingly stepped up to the plate. She worked through all the progressions of CRM and continues to contribute to the Leads Process. Victoria’s original idea of automatically delegating leads by supplier contacts in the lead management system has become the core feature of automating lead delegation.

Victoria collaborated to develop the Data Integrity Power BI Dashboard. She has primary responsibility for maintaining and improving this powerful tool to help manage Data Integrity analytics, workload prioritization, improve timeliness in surge periods, and provide daily status to executives and other users.
 
Victoria willingly shares her knowledge with everyone and has directly trained three Interns. She will continue to be the trainer for future interns joining the Data Quality team. She assisted in the development of three Data Integrity training classes for CSRs and has been called on to conduct group and individual training sessions.

Victoria is not only committed to improving Valin but herself as well. She has completed and continues to take college classes to advance her skills including Linux, Python, Java, C++, and economics courses. She has completed multiple advanced Excel courses through Valin University.

Victoria is a model Valin Team member, always cheerful, engaging, and willing to go the distance, continually striving to make things better directly and by suggestion. She manages to balance her full work schedule with a full family schedule and find time for self-improvement.
