Robyn Dowd is the inside sales support for many product lines relating to Heat Trace Specialists. She is given many tasks that are outside her job description. She steps in to help co-workers when needed and does her best to fulfill what is asked. She was pivotal in moving the acquired Disco office to integrate with the existing North Salt Lake office. She looks at the big picture and finds a solution.

Robyn works outside of normal business hours to help customers. She stays late when needed for customers that are desperate for material but unable to make it before closing. She even enters orders while on vacation. Roof and Gutter customers often request change orders at the last minute and Robyn’s flexibility and high degree of emotional intelligence is critical in maintaining a customer’s positive service experience. For instance, a customer picked up heat trace cable at the end of the day and after closing time, found they had picked up the wrong kind. The customer called as Robyn was walking out the door. She agreed to pull the correct cable from the warehouse, meet the customer at a remote location that evening and swap for the correct cable. Robyn is committed to taking care of the customer.

Robyn answers every request in a professional manner and is constantly upselling and guiding customers to the right product. Recently, a new customer, purchasing a roof panel system was asking for a quote to purchase 6” panels. Robyn’s inquisitive upselling nature helped the customer identify that what they really needed was 12” panels, and thereby increased the revenue of the sale.

Robyn’s contribution to the roof and gutter initiative, the heat knowledge center, and customer service in general is extraordinary. She is personable, friendly, and an appreciated team member. Robyn is the model of a dedicated employee and going beyond for her customer is common.
