A little over two years ago, Richelle volunteered to take on the challenge of managing Valin’s social media. In 2015 all Valin had was a very basic LinkedIn page and a YouTube channel. Today, Valin has a presence on Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and Instagram. Richelle is solely responsible for managing Valin’s social presence and is constantly striving to improve the messages, reach, and interaction.

Richelle started by attending several social media seminars. From there she developed a strategy, and researched each platform to develop best practices. She also researched social media management platforms to maximize her efficiency. Richelle continually researches new and innovative ways of creating eye-catching posts to increase engagement and she stays on top of what is trending.

Richelle also launched the Social Media Beta Team which has been a huge success. The social media beta group was developed to exponentially expand the reach of Valin’s social media efforts. A group of Valin’s subject matter experts is provided with content on a monthly basis and they share this content on their social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.). Not only does it help expand the reach of Valin’s social media efforts, it also helps our team stay on top of the latest technology and familiarizes them with what Valin is promoting.

Valin’s social media platforms have driven thousands of customer interactions on the valin.com website. Out of those interactions, many were people who filled out one of our online forms. These valuable leads are a direct result of Richelle’s efforts. Valin’s suppliers have also praised us on many occasions for our social media efforts.

At Valin, we take pride in being one of the top distributors in our industry. A company that other distributors try to emulate. Richelle’s efforts have now made us a company to watch in the social world as well.
