Ricardo Garcia

Ricardo Garcia is the Project Planner in the Chandler, AZ office. Ricardo was asked to lead the panel shop that recently relocated from the Houston, TX office to Chandler, AZ. His background in customer service and as a scheduler for filter production made him a good fit for the position.

Ricardo has been in his new role for only eight weeks and was challenged right away with a large order that was behind schedule. He needed to get 20 panels for a large overseas customer back on track and meet the looming deadline. Ricardo accomplished this by using his knowledge of purchasing to find alternate vendors to source long lead-time materials. He also modified the process and flow of production so that now the panels will be delivered on time.

In addition to keeping panel orders on schedule, Ricardo is cleaning up inventory discrepancies for the panel shop. He is identifying parts and components that were not recorded as being in stock and placing the items correctly. He is reviewing and streamlining the inventory process as well. He leads the weekly panel shop shortage meeting to identify hurdles that could be holding up jobs. Ricardo works effectively with Engineering, Quality, and other departments within Valin to resolve issues. He continues to work on improving processes that will help streamline the flow in the panel shop.

Ricardo is engaged in his new role while also trying to transition away from customer service. His high energy level and consistently positive attitude are noticeable by all.
