Liza Bufete

Liza Bufete is Valin’s Accounting Manager in the San Jose, CA office and was recognized as the 2019 Employee of the Year. Liza has many responsibilities within Valin’s financial department where deadlines are critical. She oversees fixed asset reporting and was instrumental during the fluid power sale. Liza has been a Valin employee for over 30 years and continues to be a supportive and positive influence for all Valin. Below is why Liza is deserving of receiving Employee of the Year.

Liza Bufete is an extremely valuable and dependable team member in Valin’s Financial Department. As the Accounting Manager, Liza’s job responsibilities include various accounting, finance, payroll, and administrative functions. Liza lives in a world of deadlines. One of the most important deadlines is payroll. Often, Valin’s payroll team receives last-minute payroll changes, corrections, and additions. Valin can count on Liza to often work late hours ensuring all payroll is complete, properly entered, and the cutoff deadline is met. Liza also oversees Valin’s fixed asset reporting. During the recent sale of the fluid power business unit, Liza was instrumental in separating and organizing the fluid power fixed assets required to complete the sale. More importantly, it was during the fluid power business sale that Liza was performing dual duty, handling her day to day responsibilities plus covering for another employee within finance that was out for an extended time. Valin operates in several states, each requiring annual administrative filings. Liza ensures all annual state administrative filings are met. Lastly, Liza is a long-service employee and a knowledge source of many accounting functions and financial processes. She is always willing to share her knowledge and assist in solving any issues, problems, or questions that arise. Liza is a positive influence for all, a role model for Valin and a pleasure to work with.
