Valin’s Mobile Technology Vehicle (MTV) has traveled the Western United States for nine years. Over those years the MTV has visited hundreds of sites with thousands of customers walking through to see the products, expertise, and technology Valin has to offer. The MTV is a 45-foot-long, 15-foot-wide promotional tool and training facility on wheels.

John Justice has been the key to the successful operation of the MTV for eight of the nine years setting up 627 events with over 17,000 visitors that generated 5,321 leads. Year after year John makes sure the MTV is in optimal operating condition maintaining both the inside and outside. He is always willing to work on the truck himself when possible if needed. He is always mindful of the operating costs and how to keep them to a minimum. Recently he installed a cat cable to each one of the nine on-board computers, so they could all communicate, along with running a cable for the new gateway making the MTV the ultimate mobile office.

John is enhancing the customer experience by truly understanding all its working parts. With the implementation of the new IntuiFace software, the MTV became a truly interactive experience with multi-touch and sensor-driven content. None of this is possible without John learning and comprehending how the program functions to make sure the experiences uploaded properly and run smoothly for all scheduled visits.

John engages with each Valin office and multiple departments within Valin. He works with the IT department for hardware and software functionality, marketing for updated presentations, leads, and overall event scheduling. He works alongside engineering and framing personnel to fabricate the appropriate displays that hold the actual monitors showcasing Valin’s capabilities. Making sure everything fits within the dimensions of the truck so that the customer sees a neat and tidy area and able to walk through safely.

He interacts closely with outside sales personnel the most to plan each scheduled MTV event. He provides the outside sales team with exemplary service and support before, during, and after each event. He has always gone the extra mile to make sure each event is as successful as possible, regardless of what it has taken to do so. Recently, he went out to a local site to rent a generator when the on-board unit had failed. That he took the time prior to the event to pre-check the functionality of the system made all the difference. His pro-active approach prevented a major failure and embarrassment for Valin and made the customer’s event a seamless and successful endeavor.

John Justice is the best source for culminating MTV best practices across regions. In addition to all the activities he performs that no person ever sees, he has been pivotal in ensuring the customer has the highest event experience possible. He advises the sales force on what kind of lunch arrangements work, the best setup and configuration of chairs and tables, and even the proper use and presentation of the onboard technology. He truly makes Valin shine because he is often the first face of Valin a customer interacts with at an MTV event.

John is a pleasure to work with and interacts with the Valin employees and the customers at the events in a very positive and professional manner. In the “Team Valin” view, he is a fantastic example of what we should look to as an example. He shows genuine concern about exceeding the expectations in all he does and with those he interacts.
