Gordon “Gordy” Bonaci is a customer service representative in the Kent, WA office. He stepped up to assist with new and existing projects in the sales area since the departure of a local account manager. In addition to Gordy being fantastic and responsive in his CSR responsibilities he also went out of his way to spend time on sales calls in the Northwest in the absence of the traditional salesperson.

A large paper and packing company in Washington state had a self-cleaning filter unit that had been sitting outside which rendered the control panel inoperable. The customer wanted to make it work again and due to the time constraints of sales personnel, Gordy was asked to help. He did not hesitate to contact the customer to discuss the unit and start the process. He gathered datasheets, drawings, and received a quote from the factory and provided all the information for the customer visit. He went the extra mile and was instrumental in closing the opportunity in the sales pipeline.

Gordy is a key contributor to the newly implemented Quote Follow-up activities employed by the business unit. He has gone out of his way to follow up on new quotes exceeding 100 days as well as those within 10 days. He has provided key business insights to leadership helping them to improve the quote follow up process for Valin. His contributions and example are greatly appreciated.

It has been stated by Gordy’s peers that he practices an above average level of internal customer service. His example has been noticed by those who work with him, upper level management, and those outside of his department.
