San Jose, CA
Ari Ashkenazi is Valin’s Financial Analyst working from the San Jose, CA office. Ari has many responsibilities that include the support of Accounting, IT, Customer Service, sales commissions, and special projects. He always maintains a calm and pleasant manner when fulfilling the requests from the various departments.

Every morning, Ari compiles the Daily Numbers report and distributes it to the whole company with the latest booking and shipping data. He makes sure to report the correct numbers and works with the IT department to reconcile and retroactively update the numbers to reflect prior day corrections. Recently, Ari worked with IT to add a new level to the Daily Numbers Report. The report compiles the daily bookings, shipments, and backlog by Business Unit and ensures that the report by the Business Unit ties to the Number by Branch. There were challenges, but Ari worked with IT to get them tied out as close as possible. The new reporting level will help each Business Unit with management and planning.

Ari is very proficient with the Adaptive Financial Software and puts together a monthly financial package for the management team to analyze. He is the author of our Monthly Financial Reporting Books that include the overall narratives, financial results, key supplemental reports, and detailed reports by business unit. This report is over 50 pages and is sent to all key level managers monthly. Ari does a great job analyzing and supplying additional information that assists the reader in better understanding Valin’s monthly results and identifies areas of concern. The Monthly Financial Book is widely used by all managers and has proven to be a key analysis tool. Ari shows full cooperation by working with the management team to reflect comments, suggestions, and requests to be included in the Financial Book.

Ari is extremely patient and does an exceptional job with the many requests he receives from customer service, collections, cash applications, and customers regarding sales tax. He uploads exemption certificates on Avalara, acquires certificates from customers, forces and removes tax information, and processes credit and rebills. All the tasks require tedious review and follow-up. Ari accepts all responsibilities given to him and manages to find a way to fit the additional requests into his schedule. He also supports and promptly updates quarterly sales bonuses to be reviewed and approved for payment. Ari stays on top of this and other vitally important tasks. He works fast, smartly, and maintains a great attitude throughout.
