The level sensors BLP1 have been specifically designed for rugged use in the maritime and offshore applications.
The housing material CuNiFe, a special copper-nickel alloy, combined with various mounting options, allows for their use with a wide range of media found in maritime environments, as well as with different tank, container, and basin configurations.

Yes — there is an option for Ex II 1G Ex ia IIB T4 Ga approval for hazardous (explosive) areas. However, it must only be operated in atmospheres consistent with category 1 equipment criteria (e.g. temperature -20 °C to +60 °C, pressure 0.8–1.1 bar) when in explosive environments.
