Pete Antunes

Pete Antunes was recognized as Valin’s 2020 Employee of the Year.  Pete started at Valin on October 17, 1994.  He was instrumental in deploying the cXML and Punchout technologies.  These technologies allowed us to gain and retain business with existing and future customers.  Not only did we fulfill a need for the customer, but we also automated the order entry process, making our organization more efficient.

Pete also stepped up and helped fill the gap when a long time IT employee left.  Pete helped coach and mentor the IT team on the inner workings of P21, Latitude Warehouse Management System, EDI, Accounting automation and SQL server.  Pete’s efforts helped in making a smooth transition of the extra duties to others within the department.

Other efforts Pete had a vital role in was the initial data extraction and automation required for the PriceFX project.  The configuration and rollout of the Handheld Inventory Tool that has allowed us to automate order entry for the Vendor Managed Inventory program.  Pete has also reduced the size of the P21 database in order to help increase the speed of P21. He continues to play a critical role by helping with the recent install of the Latitude Warehouse Management System in Austin, TX.
