Mark H May 2025 EOTMMark Horn has been a dedicated member of the Valin team since 1997, consistently going beyond to support customers and colleagues. Throughout his 27-year career, Mark has taken on roles in the warehouse, purchasing, customer service, and inside sales, bringing deep operational knowledge to every task. His dedication to Valin’s success is clearly demonstrated by his decision to remain actively involved in training and support in the transition of his role.

Recently, Mark resolved an issue involving over 600 pieces of dead stock inventory—items that had been sitting untouched for nearly a year. Within 48 hours, he secured a customer order for the entire lot, turning a potential loss into revenue. During the annual inventory review, when a supplier declined a return, Mark engaged with refinery customers in the Pacific Northwest and Southern California to integrate those components into their bin stock and rotation programs.

Mark has also played a crucial role in multiple office relocations, from moving Dublin to Livermore to Ad Tech’s transition from Brea to Santa Ana. His support included site visits with customers and assistance with organizing and counting inventory, including thousands of items. He identified and documented batch numbers and cure dates, a weeklong effort made more efficient by his extensive experience and familiarity with part details.
Mark continues to serve as a bridge between departments and customers. He recently traveled to Chandler to introduce clients to their new sales rep and offer transitional support. He is scheduled to provide similar assistance in Santa Ana.

Most importantly, Mark is actively helping shape the future of Valin's sales approach. He shared his inside sales process that will lead to the foundation of a new training model for future inside sales hires.

Mark’s contributions span decades, departments, and disciplines. He exemplifies leadership, dependability, and the type of presence teams can count on. His initiative, reliability, and team-first mindset have left an impact on the company and those who work alongside him.
