In late July, Joseph Hirsch, the material handler at Valin’s Livermore facility, demonstrated exceptional initiative. He was tasked with preparing a priority international shipment for a semiconductor customer, despite having only a partial inventory on hand. The remaining inventory was expected to arrive the same day, but when Joseph realized it would be delayed, he proactively processed as many shipments as possible in anticipation of the backorder arriving the next day.
Joseph's quick thinking and the timely arrival of the remaining inventory allowed him to inspect and repackage the items, which had arrived in a less-than-ideal condition. He meticulously generated the necessary customs forms and documents, ensuring that the customer's priority shipment was processed and ready for same-day pickup.

Additionally, Joseph adeptly managed the logistics for this specific customer, who relies on a local bus route service for their shipments. He scheduled pickup requests within the required time frame and worked closely with the bus route driver to arrange a reliable daily pickup. This arrangement has enabled him to handle more of the customer's local shipments, which must be processed through their online portal.
Joseph has developed a strong proficiency in processing and shipping orders via various online portals used by customers from Valin's Livermore location. His dependability and reliability are exemplary. He is consistently responsive to requests, follows up with enthusiasm, and provides all necessary information effectively.
