"Good Morning Valin Corporation!" the voice says confirming you have reached Valin successfully over the phone and it is not a machine. Carol Abrahamson is vital and central to the phone communication for all Valin Corporation. Her voice is cheerful and knowledgeable about who to speak with depending on your need and in an instance the extension is ringing and the person needed answers.
Carol works hard to keep up with the phone call volume for all 16 Valin locations and does it effortlessly and tirelessly. She transfers customers internally to the correct departments, locations, or persons, going out of her way to make sure she finds someone to help customers with 100% follow-up. Confirming and securing conference rooms, keeping phone lists up to date, and positively engaging with callers.
Few within Valin understand how much work and knowledge is needed to direct incoming requests. For example, there are 6 knowledge centers that have multiple suppliers assigned. A job aide that is 6MB was created to help customer service and sales on where to direct inquiries. Carol directs customer calls daily, since the start of the phone system without such a tool.
