Power Supply Redundancy (RED) Modules support redundant power supply operation by continually monitoring the condition of two power supplies connected to a single load. The RED modules are certified internationally, for harsh industrial environments and hazardous locations. The MOSFET design of the RED modules generates less heat than traditional diode-based designs. The diagnostic LEDs assist in balancing the load between the two power supplies. Combined these features provide extended life for both the power supplies and the components housed in the same enclosure. These compact units work with SolaHD™ SDN-D, SDN-C, and SDN-P Series power supplies, as well as most power supplies capable of parallel operation.
