Series 327C Solenoid Valves from ASCO™

ASCO Series 327C Solenoid Valve

The ASCO Series 327C, also known as 8327C, is the next generation line of 3/2-way direct-acting solenoid valves requiring zero minimum operating pressure. Its balanced poppet construction permits high flows at minimum power levels, making it ideal for power plants, refineries, and chemical processing facilities. The valve also incorporates features that combine reliability and durability to increase operational efficiency and improve process certainty. The 3/2-way direct-acting solenoid valves are ideal for process valve piloting applications.

Features

Features:

  • High flow piloting with no minimum operating pressure required

Series 327C Solenoid Valves Q & A

+Do Series 327C solenoid valves require minimum pressure to operate?
No. The Series 327C is a direct-acting valve, meaning it operates without any minimum pressure requirement. This makes it ideal for low-pressure or variable-pressure systems.
+What makes the 327C different from pilot-operated solenoid valves?
Unlike pilot-operated designs that depend on system pressure, the 327C uses a direct-acting mechanism. This allows for faster response times, simpler system design, and more reliable operation in low-pressure conditions.
+What industries typically use Series 327C valves?
These valves are widely used in power plants, refineries, and chemical processing facilities where reliability and process control are essential.
+Are Series 327C valves suitable for hazardous environments?
Yes. They are designed for use in hazardous locations and carry certifications such as UL, ATEX, and IECEx, ensuring compliance with global safety standards.
+What factors should I consider when selecting a Series 327C valve?

Key considerations include:

  • Required flow rate (Cv/Kv)
  • Voltage and power availability
  • Media compatibility
  • Environmental conditions (hazardous vs. general purpose)
  • Port size and connection type
