The Techman TM was born out of the electronics manufacturing industry bringing several unique features to the industry:
- Integrated vision
- Position calibration via a Landmark
- Built-in vision applications
- AI vision
This provides four different levels of capabilities to consider:
- No vision: without the integrated camera, the TM is a lot like other cobots on the market, just still easier to use with its flow-based programming. It is also more robust with its metal gearing rather than plastic. The vast majority of TMs are still running after 5 years, even at high duty cycle rates.
- The Landmark allows for calibration to the work surface as opposed to working in the robot's coordinates:
