Aries EPL Servo Drives

Discontinuation Date: February 2021
Note: Parker Hannifin, EM&D is discontinuing the sale of Aries PE (Ethernet Powerlink or EPL) servo drives effective immediately due to component availability.

The following parts are impacted:
  • AR-04PE
  • AR-08PE
  • AR-13PE

Availability
Aries PE drives are no longer available for sale. The Aries PE (Ethernet Powerlink or EPL) drives were introduced in 2007 and have many older components that are obsolete or difficult to procure. Over the last several years Parker has made efforts to extend the life of the products through stocking of obsolete components and design changes.

Typically, Parker will offer customers a last time buy period before obsoleting a product. However, order activity exceeded forecasts and depleted remaining inventory before a last time buy notice could be distributed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Repairs will be supported for three years or until supplies of repair parts are exhausted.

Suggested Replacements
Aries PE drives were used exclusively with Parker ACR9030/9040 Ethernet Powerlink controllers. The Compax3 also has an Ethernet Powerlink option for use with ACR EPL controllers and would be the best choice for replacement.
