Valin Employee of the Month

Valarie Walker

Customer Service Manager - Automation
Chandler, AZ
Valarie Walker joined Valin with the Sun Automation acquisition in the role of Client Service Coordinator. Her potential for more became clear as she was promoted to Customer Service Manager after only a few years.

After becoming integrated into the company and learning unfamiliar processes and systems she was asked to supervise a group of employees that had been with Valin for a long time. Even though a newcomer, Valarie proved why she was such a terrific addition to Valin. She brought the automation customer service group together by implementing a regularly scheduled team meeting and included essential people from several departments like material controls, sales, and business development. She shared her intimate knowledge of Sun Automation legacy suppliers to help flatten the learning curve for the existing automation team. Valarie learned Valin’s challenging and heavily customized P21 processes while incorporating improvements from her own P21 experience with Sun Automation. Her leadership skills are evident in how she deftly handles customers and suppliers while providing solutions to complex situations to satisfy all parties.

Valarie encourages communication, teamwork, and continuous learning. She pays attention to detail, takes on many challenges, and does everything with a fantastic attitude. She strives for her team to be the best by sharing her expertise and providing current supplier and product information to assist her customer service team. She leads by example and uses her talents to help Valin and others succeed.

“I find Valarie “exceptional” in every aspect of her job as a customer service manager. She is extremely kind and patient no matter what kind of day she is having. I can’t say enough about her as an individual and as a manager since I know she helps those in need even outside the company.”
