Business Relations Director
Terence Rajah has been a long-standing Valin employee and during the years has built strong relationships with many key Valin customers. When the semiconductor business unit started a reorganizing phase in May 2020, Terence stepped up to bring stability to the business unit. He became an important liaison between priority customers and suppliers and now focuses on new business development for our OEM Semiconductor customers. He continues to mentor Valin employees when transitioning to a new role within the company and guiding them through the complexities of acquiring new product specifications for Valin and our suppliers.

His vast experience and background in building relationships with customers and suppliers were valuable when he took on repairing an extremely fragile situation with a primary supplier, a prominent semiconductor customer, and a contract manufacturer. After many years of uneasiness due to liability concerns, the supplier stated they would no longer sell a valve kit that Valin provided to the customer’s subcontractor. This decision ultimately shut the OEM customer down for a period.

Long and tricky negotiations ensued. Terence worked for over six months and coordinated a better solution that included a complete valve. The new solution satisfies the supplier's concerns, the subcontractor's process requirements and ultimately allows the semiconductor customer to ship a safer tool. Valin has gained significant new business with higher margins due to Terence’s efforts and diligence. More importantly, all three companies have a better relationship with Valin and see Valin as a more valuable partner.
