Field Service Technician
Williston, ND
Kamden Miller has been employed with Valin for over two years and goes all out every day during adverse conditions, doing routine repairs or performing mundane tasks. Last year a major customer had an oil transfer pump fail on a Friday evening. Kamden went out the next morning in 30 below zero temperature and fixed the pump, got it shipping oil again and saved the customer an estimated $20,000. It takes a strong, disciplined and very committed person to work in such extreme conditions.

Kamden performs above and beyond what is normally required and expected of a field service technician, always looking to improve himself and Valin’s image with the customers. After finishing a routine system repair onsite for a customer, instead of packing up and leaving Kamden did a quick walk around the location. He discovered a significant saltwater leak, reported it and immediately fixed it, saving the customer tens of thousands in clean up and reclamation costs. The client was very thankful that he had taken the extra initiative which in turn reflected well on Valin.

Kamden is one of the best employees Valin could have because he is completely self-sufficient with very little oversight required. He arrives daily and knows what needs to be accomplished and does it without question or complaint. He has been doing simple repetitive tasks lately that would drive most people crazy after a few days, but Kamden has been powering through like a champ. Valin was awarded a contract to change out HVAC filters simply because Kamden does a good job. With redundant tasks, most people’s quality of work tapers off at the end except for Kamden. Every task is done with precision and accuracy with passion mixed in. It is apparent Kamden enjoys what he does and takes great pride in his work which in turn lets Valin shine.
