The RainSwitch™ Stormwater Diversion Control System detects one tenth of an inch of rainfall, allowing the First-Flush, polluted water, to flow to the sewer for treatment, then diverting the cleaner runoff to flow freely to the stormwater system. This ensures compliance with stormwater regulations and protects the environment.
The rainwater diversion solution is very simple in design, as well as robust, which ensures long life with minimal service required, when properly installed.
RainSwitch™ is the heart of our solution. It will detect one tenth of an inch of rain and will send a signal to our pilot station.
The pilot station is the display and control panel that receives a signal from the RainSwitch™ device, and outputs to the control element which is a valve or pump.
The automated valves come in 2-WAY and 3-WAY designs, and are used to isolated and divert the rainwater to a storm drain system from the sewer system.
Pumps may be specified to pump the drainage to the sewer, and once a one tenth of an inch has fallen, the RainSwitch™ device will turn off the pump circuit allowing the clean rain runoff to flow to the storm drain system. A high Amp starter relay is required to handle the pump load.
