A LOK Assembly of Twin Ferrule Fitting With Preassembly Tool

Welcome, to the Parker A-LOK twin ferrule fitting assembly video when using a preassembly tool.

To begin, first, ensure you are using an adequately prepared tube and you have checked for correct ferrule orientation.

Then, holding the preassemble tool appropriately, insert the tube, ensuring it is fully abutted into the tool. Tighten the nut until it is finger-tight, and then make a reference mark at the 6'oclock position as shown. Using a suitable wrench, rotate the nut 1 -1/4 turns, finishing at the 9 o'clock position. Next, undo the nut, remove the preassembly from the tool and insert it into the fitting body, ensuring the ferrules are fully seated into the fitting body cone. Holding the body securely, tighten the nut to finger tight and using your wrench tighten the nut to take the ferrules to their original pre-set position. An increase in torque will be felt as you are resetting the ferrules. Once you have reached the original ferrule seat position, advance slightly further to regain a positive seal. Your assembly is now complete.
