Valin Debuts LACT Units That Save Money, Space

Submitted on Wed, 05/04/2016
Valin Corporation now offers single-pump custody transfer units it estimates cost $10,000-$15,000 less than traditional two-pump designs.

Traditional designs employ a centrifugal pump to transport fluid through the skid, as well as a shipping pump that increases the pressure as it sends the fluid into the pipeline, Valin explains. In contrast, Valin's new units use a single multistage centrifugal pump design that allows higher pipeline pressure throughout the entire skid. According to the company, this increases turndown levels while reducing the unit's footprint and cost.
