Barcode Readers, Character Recognition & Scanners
Valin works with a wide variety of solutions for both 1D and 2D barcodes, as well as character recognition to read text, using interfaces such as EthernetIP and Profinet to provide traceability data for quality and testing processes.
RFID readers come in a variety of styles, such as handheld, USB, and fixed. RFID readers also vary from OEM modules to robust dedicated or networkable models providing for the communication protocols including, but not limited to: Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, Profibus & PROFINET, ModbusRTU & ModbusTCP, CANopen, as well as Serial & Ethernet TCP/IP. The come in many forms including:
- 3-in-1 systems with antenna, amplifier & controller combined
- Industrial systems
- UHF for long range
- Custom OEM microboards
- Starter kits
- Flag Sensors
RFID tags and labels come in a variety of options, from disposable RFID labels to robust high-temperature survival RFID tags. Some RFID tags and labels even have temperature sensors that detect environmental temperature data and sends this data to the reader. RFID tags are either passive tags, which have no battery and are excited and powered by the reader/antenna signal, or active tags, which contain a battery, thus being self-powered.Antennas
RFID antennas are sometimes external to the RFID reader and other times the RFID antenna is incorporated into the RFID reader as a single piece solution. Additionally, both low frequency (LF) and ultra-high frequency (UHF) RFID antennas vary in dimension, from smaller than a pencil eraser to as large as a meter square. UHF and LF RFID antennas are specific to certain frequencies and are very much focal in nature, meaning there is a precise area from which the RF signal is emanated, and the RFID antenna and RFID tag need to be orientation specific to each other.Programmers
Although most RFID Readers will also program tags, it's nice to have specific RFID Desktop Programmers or Handheld Programmers, and we offer various reader-writer devices to meet your RFID programming needs.
This allows for precise, efficient and permanent marking of a wide variety of materials including metals, plastics, resins and plastic films whether they are 2D or 3D surfaces.Blogs:
