Gas operated diaphragm pumps (AOD) are used in a variety of well head applications. For example; Pumping glycol for heating, dehydration and pumping amine solutions for CO2 and H2S removal. AOD pumps consume natural gas when pumping. The gas is then vented to atmosphere. Depending on duty cycle the value of the gas vented can be significant. In place of the AOD pump, Valin offers a 48 VDC Electric Pump skid that operates in parallel with the AOD pump with a Gas / Electricity automatic switch over valve. ROI can be less than one year.

Solar Air Compressor System

In-order to operate pumps and valves at wellheads without utility electrical power, natural gas is used. The natural gas is then vented to the atmosphere. Natural gas is considered a potent greenhouse gas, so the venting of natural gas into the atmosphere is highly regulated and discouraged. Valin offers a solar powered air compressor system to combate this issue. The dry, instrument air produced by this system can be used in-place of natural gas.

Solar Powered Heat Trace, 12 / 24 vdc

Current solar powered heat trace systems run on 110 VAC. This requires the use of an inverter to convert from DC to AC power. DC solar powered heat trace is more cost effective and reliable than AC solar powered heat trace. No inverter is required. Including a temperature transmitter and PLC facilitates a wide range of temperature control options not previously available with either AC or DC heat trace.
