Portable Heating Skids

Portable Heating Skids can be designed for use in most applications where a heated liquid or gas is required. The built-in storage tank allows the unit to be used independently and its portability makes it easy to use out in the field. This design includes a circulation heater to bring liquids to the appropriate temperature, a sensor to monitor the temperature and a control panel that turns the heater on and off as needed... all mounted on one portable unit!  

Heat Transfer & Vaporizer

Heat transfer systems are safe, versatile, user-friendly heating systems for process heating applications requiring closely controlled process temperatures. Pre-engineered and constructed with carefully matched components, these systems provide easy installation and trouble-free operation in industrial heating applications. Vaporizers are designed for use with Dowtherm, Therminol, and other organic fluids to transfer heat at high temperatures and low pressures. They are pre-engineered, pre-wired, and pre-piped packages designed for flexible, dependable, and efficient operation.  

Heat Trace Cable

Electric heat trace cables offer a safe, reliable, cost effective and energy efficient means of maintaining a desired constant temperature on pipes, tanks, and valves. Whether needed to ensure a process in oil, gas, chemical, food and beverage, wastewater facilities or freeze protection in cold weather environments Valin has the expertise and knowledge to help design and install a full turn-key heat trace system to meet your needs.  

Large Tank Heaters

Tank heaters are pre-engineered packages employing metal-sheath tubular or ceramic-insulated, open-coil pipe insert heating components for use in 2- and 3-inch nominal pipe sizes. This unique construction allows heating elements to be changed without draining the tank. These commercial heating components can be combined with temperature and power controls and safety cutouts for a complete tank heating system. Tank heaters are well-suited for applications in the chemical/petrochemical industry, including bulk oil storage and asphalt heating. NEMA-type control enclosures are available. Options include special ratings, lengths to 40 feet, replacement parts, and back-up controls. Separate insert heaters are also available.

Boiler & Steam Generators

Constructed to ASME or PED code of carbon or stainless steel with fiberglass insulation, Our boilers and steam generators are efficient energy management systems that provide low- or high-pressure hot water or steam for industrial processes and comfort heating. NPT or flanged connections are available. Optional transformers, water feed, and blow-down equipment are also available. Chromalox has the engineering expertise to design and manufacture large-capacity electric boilers to meet a variety of industrial heat applications. 

Air Handlers & Load Banks

Air Temperature Control Systems provide durable, accurate temperature control for large capacity temporary heating applications. Loadbanks are used to provide precise energy control for loading dissipation needs.

Remediation Systems

Convection Heaters distribute the warm air by relying on the difference in density of the heated air rising above the cool air and creating a convection current. The forced air heater forces air over very long distances and is usually the choice for heating larger areas. Similar to the sun’s heat, infrared heating heats people and objects rather than air or space. Radiant heat is less affected by drafts and large air movements. When using overhead infrared to heat an entire building, direct radiated heat from the heater passes through the air to heat floors, walls, machinery and people. These heated objects then transfer heat to the air by natural convection and secondary radiant heat. Radiant heat generates no noise, fumes or flames.

Control Panels

Custom power control panels are engineered with solid-state controls and sized to virtually any application or specification. Used by the US military for its shipboard systems, Chromalox custom power control panels are available in many NEMA-type enclosures, for single- or three-phase load requirements, and a variety of voltages, contactors, and SCR power controllers. Circuit fusing, current-sensing relays, ground fault breakers, and circuit ammeters can be tailored to your requirements.

Sensor Assemblies

Sensors range from bare thermocouples and RTD's to the most sophisticated infrared non-contact sensors that directly, consistently, and accurately measure product temperature. Stock accessories include thermowells, thermocouple and RTD wire, connectors, fitting and adapters.
