San Jose, Calif. (February, 2014)— Valin Corporation, a privately held, employee-owned company providing technical solutions for the technology, energy, life sciences, natural resources, and transportation industries, is in the final stages of successfully commissioning 65 Lease Automatic Custody Transfer systems (LACT) for a very large project with one of the largest independent midstream energy companies in North America. The LACT systems were needed for an oil gathering project in the Myrmidon field in the Bakken Shale Play in North Dakota. The large energy resource company chose Valin based on Valin’s expertise in multiple fields including fluid handling, process control, precision measurement, design engineering, pipe and skid manufacturing, program management and in-field service of units after startup.
When transferring oil from a producing oil field into the oil pipeline, truck or other oil transport method, precision measurement is critical. To ensure proper transfer, this large Valin customer estimated it would need 65+ LACT units over a short period of time. Valin had the expertise and capacity needed to fulfill their requirements, and as the project progressed Valin delivered ahead of the required schedule.
